How to use the Wooden Spaceship Top by Original Toy Co

We recently opened a Wooden Spaceship Top by the Original Toy Company. I figured it'd be obvious how to use it, but it's not! The box also didn't include any instructions or a manual. After messing with it for far too long I figured it out.

Step 1: Put the top into the wooden launch handle like so...

Step 2: This is the key step, bend the lace over on itself like so...

Step 3: Push the folded over lace about halfway through the hole in the launch handle...

Step 4: Twist the top in your hand until tight, but don't force it. If the lace hits the side of the launch handle you have to push the lace in a little farther.

And then hold the handle and pull the cord. If the lace gets stuck it was pushed into the launch handle too far.
